JHS Tees Up Success for Spokane Youth Sports with Second Annual Golf Fundraiser 

We hosted our second annual golf fundraiser tournament on July 26th and collected over $23,000 in donations for the Spokane Youth Sports Association (SYSA), a community organization where every local child has the chance to play recreational sports.  

JHS team members and their families headed out to Esmeralda Golf Course for a day of community spirit, friendly competition, and a picnic lunch as we supported local youth. A total of 145 golfers and 25+ volunteers participated in Saturday’s events.  

“The donations raised through this JHS-sponsored event will directly support the SYSA mission to provide the transformative power of sports to any child who seeks to be engaged regardless of skill or financial circumstances—especially those young people in northeast Spokane, an area that has been traditionally underserved in our community,” said Ben Walker, Executive Director at SYSA.  

During the first annual golf tournament in 2024, we raised over $10,000. We are excited to continue this ongoing partnership to create a long-term impact and support SYSA’s mission.
